Mould tooling is the creation of bespoke moulds that are utilised in plastic injection moulding machines to produce your parts. Typically, these moulds will be constructed from hardened steel due to the steel’s strength and hard-wearing properties. The choice of injection mould material depends on the planned production volumes. For example, steel moulds are more expensive to construct but they have a longer lifespan which offsets the initial mould tooling costs, therefore, hardened steel moulds are suitable for higher injection moulding production volumes.
We specialise in increasing the use of recycled plastics in packaging and consumer products so as to improve their sustainability and reduce resin costs. Recycled plastics are still somewhat misunderstood, and therefore underused. However, this is often due to the available recycled plastics not being fully understood. We source suitable recycled plastics and ensure the parameters of the process are embedded to produce quality products, so that the difference between the virgin and recycled plastic material is minimal.
